针对谷歌明年起将对应用内购买（IAP）强制抽取分成的消息，V神评论称，谷歌在强制应用内支付方向上比苹果走得更远。我们需要在应用程序商店（app store）和最终的手机操作系统上进行更多的竞争，我们现在就需要它。U.Today文章指出，目前尚不清楚他所说的“我们”具体指代谁，是以太坊或者全球加密社区。 据CNBC报道，谷歌周一表示，将从明年开始执行应用商店规则，该规则要求在Google Play商店上发布安卓（Android）应用的开发者必须使用谷歌应用内支付系统。谷歌为应用开发者留出了一年的时间来调整，最后截止日期为2021年9月30日。届时，开发者将必须使用谷歌的支付系统，不能再使用其独立支付系统，意味着其应用内购买收入将被谷歌抽取30%的分成。谷歌的现有政策也要求应用开发商在应用内购买交易上使用谷歌支付系统，但一直没有执行。
