The token is issued by Standard Custody & Trust Company, with reserves in USD and short-term US Treasury bonds, and is integrated into Ripple's payment and liquidity system. The current circulating supply is approximately $819 million in Ethereum and $203 million in XRP Ledger; Ripple claims to have processed nearly $100 billion in payments, with RLUSD serving as the primary settlement stablecoin.
