PANews reported on May 27 that according to Gemini's latest "State of Crypto" report, more than 30% of new entrants in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and other places first purchased crypto assets as memecoins, and more than 94% of memecoin holders subsequently invested in Bitcoin or Ethereum, showing that it is an important entry point for widespread adoption. In addition, 39% of investors in the United States have invested in cryptocurrencies through ETFs. Gemini pointed out that memecoins are becoming a "training wheel" for new users to understand wallets, tokens and ecosystems due to their cultural drive and low participation threshold. The current market value of memecoins has reached US$74.2 billion, accounting for a significant share of the global total crypto market value.
