PANews reported on May 26 that according to the Pakistan Observer, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif officially appointed Bilal Bin Saqib, CEO of the Pakistan Cryptocurrency Commission, as a special assistant for blockchain and crypto affairs, granting him the status of a minister of state but without salary. Saqib will be responsible for formulating regulations that meet FATF standards, promoting Bitcoin mining and blockchain government integration.
