PANews reported on October 9th that Reuters reported that cryptocurrency exchange Gemini announced the establishment of its Australian operating entity, "Gemini Intergalactic Australia." Following registration as a digital currency service provider with AUSTRAC (Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre), the exchange will offer cryptocurrency trading services to local users. Previously, Australian clients accessed the platform through its global platform. Gemini stated that it already has some institutional clients in the country and is localizing its team and products to expand its market. The report also noted that the country's crypto adoption rate has risen from 28% to 31% (according to the Independent Reserve Crypto Index).
