PANews reported on January 13th that, according to PeckShieldAlert, the $NYC token, promoted by former New York City Mayor Eric Adams, experienced a massive withdrawal of liquidity from addresses just 30 minutes after its launch, with on-chain data showing losses exceeding $3 million, suggesting a possible Rug Pull. The token had a market capitalization of over $100 million at launch and a 24-hour trading volume of approximately $29 million. Eric Adams has not yet responded to the reports.
