PANews reported on May 28 that Sui posted on the X platform that the current bug bounty program will reward researchers and reporters who report vulnerabilities that affect Sui itself, with a bounty of up to $1 million, depending on the effectiveness and potential impact of the reported vulnerability. For now, its bug bounty program does not cover problems found in applications running on Sui. Although the current bug bounty program focuses on Sui's core infrastructure and does not cover protocols, applications, or smart contracts built on it, it will be expanded over the next six months to provide additional bounties for any protocol with a total locked value (TVL) of more than $50 million. This will incentivize bounty hunters to identify errors in the code of large protocols built on Sui, such as Cetus, to prevent such errors from happening in the future.
Regarding the vote initiated by Cetus to "determine whether to fully compensate the 223 million stolen assets", Sui said that the pledge of the Sui Foundation will not be counted in the vote.
