PANews reported on January 21 that, according to the official Google blog, Google.org, Google's non-profit organization, will provide $2 million in funding to the Sundance Film Academy to establish the "AI Literacy Alliance" in partnership with The Gotham and Film Independent. The alliance aims to provide basic AI skills training to over 100,000 artists and promote a community-led AI education ecosystem for film and television. The project includes online courses, scholarships, an AI creator grant program, and co-creation of industry standards, emphasizing that AI should serve human creativity, not replace it.
