New York City mayoral candidate Andrew Cuomo plans to appoint a chief innovation officer if elected

PANews reported on October 20th that former New York Governor and current New York City mayoral candidate Andrew Cuomo plans to establish a Chief Innovation Officer ( CIO ) if elected to promote New York City as a "future global hub," according to Eleanor Terrett. The CIO will oversee the application of blockchain, AI , and biotech across city agencies, attracting jobs and investment and promoting technological integration. The plan also includes the establishment of an Innovation Council comprised of three advisory committees: crypto, AI , and biotech. The council will oversee technology adoption, talent development, and streamlined regulatory processes.
