a16z Crypto Appoints General Counsel Miles Jennings as Head of Policy

PANews reported on March 19 that according to The Block, venture capital fund a16z Crypto has appointed its general counsel Miles Jennings as policy director. Founding general partner Chris Dixon announced the appointment on Tuesday, noting that the fund's former policy director Brian Quintenz will leave and accept Senate confirmation to become the next chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

According to Jennings’ LinkedIn profile, he has served as the fund’s general counsel for more than three years and was previously a partner at the law firm Latham & Watkins. Jennings will take over Quintenz’s position and lead legislative discussions, hoping to sign the Stablecoin and Market Structure Act into law by the end of this year.
