Hong Kong police cracked a virtual currency investment fraud case involving HK$72 million

PANews reported on March 22 that according to Hong Kong Commercial Daily, the Hong Kong police launched a codenamed "Spyker" arrest operation in Yau Tsim District from March 10 to 19 to combat fraud and money laundering, cracking 45 cases and arresting 54 people, with losses reaching HK$194 million. The highest loss was an online virtual currency investment fraud case involving HK$72 million. The victims were foreigners who were deceived by the fraudsters to invest in virtual currency and transfer the money to a designated bank account. After investigation, the police arrested two suspects (30 and 34 years old).
