PANews reported on June 15th that, according to The Wall Street Journal, a consumer named Karl Kahn, residing in Washington, D.C., has filed a lawsuit in federal court accusing Claude developer Anthropic of misleadingly advertising available usage in its most expensive "Max 5x" and "Max 20x" AI subscription plans. The lawsuit alleges that since April of last year, users who purchased these plans have actually had less available usage than Anthropic advertised, constituting misleading consumers and a breach of contract. The case seeks class-action approval and demands that Anthropic refund fees and compensate affected subscribers for their losses.
Anthropic faces class-action lawsuit alleging inflated subscription rates and "falsely advertised" usage limits.
