Several figures in the US cybersecurity community have jointly urged the easing of restrictions on the Anthropic model.

PANews reported on June 15th that, according to Reuters, cybersecurity leaders from several major US technology and security companies (including Nvidia and Adobe) jointly wrote to the Trump administration, demanding the lifting of restrictions on Anthropic's most powerful AI security models, Fable 5 and Mythos 5. This comes after the US government, citing national security concerns, required Anthropic to suspend access to these models for foreign users. The letter argues that this move weakens the security industry's ability to use AI to discover and fix software vulnerabilities, and that other vendors' models possess similar capabilities, not just Anthropic's. The letter also points out that, given the rapid development of domestic AI in countries like China, restricting the use of US models by defenders is "dangerous" and would damage the US's leadership in the AI field.
