El Salvador's Bitcoin Learning Initiative to Reform Public Education System

PANews reported on February 24th, citing DL News, that El Salvador's National Bitcoin Office has launched a completely revamped public education program, "Bitcoin Diploma 2.0," with the first edition of textbooks already printed. The program is planned for implementation in the public school system in 2026. This program upgrades the previous "What is Money?" educational project, enhancing the use of visual tools through animation and real-world examples to systematically introduce students to Bitcoin and financial concepts. Stacy Herbert, Director of the National Bitcoin Office, stated that the new textbooks aim to solidify El Salvadoran youth's understanding of the nature of money. The National Bitcoin Office recently opened a new teaching location in Panchimarco and plans to expand further in Apopa.
