PANews reported on March 16 that, according to CCTV News, Iran has arrested 500 spies suspected of passing intelligence to enemy and anti-Iranian media. Iranian security forces commander Radan stated that 250 of these 500 individuals played "important" roles, providing intelligence on targets, contacting criminal gangs, and attempting to disrupt public order.
