US CPI rose sharply to 3.3% in March, in line with expectations.

PANews reported on April 10th that the US March unadjusted CPI annual rate was 3.3%, a new high since May 2024, in line with market expectations. The expected rate was 3.3%, compared to the previous value of 2.40%. The US March unadjusted core CPI annual rate was 2.6%, compared to the expected 2.7% and the previous value of 2.50%. The US March seasonally adjusted CPI monthly rate was 0.9%, a new high since June 2022, also in line with market expectations.
