HYTOPIA has been forced to suspend its infrastructure and website operations for one to three months due to delays in IRS tax refunds.

PANews reported on April 20th that the metaverse platform HYTOPIA announced on its X platform that it is currently awaiting a substantial tax refund from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Without this funding, HYTOPIA cannot continue to cover its current project operating costs and is forced to temporarily suspend infrastructure. hytopia.com and related websites and services will be temporarily offline to reduce hosting and operational expenses. The shortage of operating funds has also led to a dispute with the HY Foundation over unpaid invoices, resulting in delays in the delivery of some token-related items. HYTOPIA anticipates the downtime to last approximately 1 to 3 months, and will announce its next steps after the tax refund is completed. HYTOPIA emphasized that the HY Foundation is an independent entity separate from HYTOPIA.
