The UK's FCA has designated Hyperliquid and the Hyper Foundation as "unauthorized entities".

PANews reported on June 5th that, according to Decrypt, the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) issued a notice on May 21st listing Hyperliquid, Hyper Foundation, and their apps and social media accounts as "unauthorized" entities, stating that they may be providing or promoting financial services in the UK without a license, and advising users to avoid transacting with them. Meanwhile, CME Group CEO Terry Duffy warned that crypto perpetual contracts (perps) could be a "potential disaster," questioning the CFTC's approval process for such "novel and complex" products. The article points out that Hyperliquid, as one of the leading decentralized perps platforms, has recorded approximately $255 million in revenue as of May 20th this year, with its HYPE token rising by approximately 101% during the same period, making it increasingly difficult to ignore against the backdrop of global regulatory pressure on the perps market.
