The Iranian parliament speaker stated that the US has blatantly violated the ceasefire agreement and that it is impossible to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

PANews reported on April 23 that, according to CCTV News, Iranian Parliament Speaker and Chief Negotiator Mohammad Ghalibaf stated on the evening of April 22 local time that a comprehensive ceasefire would only be meaningful if the maritime blockade were lifted and "global economic coercion" ceased. He emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz could not be reopened given the US's blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement.
