PANews reported on April 30th, citing foreign media reports, that the U.S. Central Command has requested the Army to deploy the Dark Eagle hypersonic missile to the Middle East in preparation for a potential strike against Iran. The U.S. Central Command hopes to acquire a longer-range system capable of hitting ballistic missile launchers deep within Iranian territory. The request states that the deployment is due to Iranian launchers being beyond the range of "precision strike missiles."
