A-shares closed higher: The Shanghai Composite Index rose 1.08%, holding steady above 4200 points, with over 100 stocks hitting their daily limit.

PANews reported on May 11th that, according to Jinshi, the A-share market closed with the Shanghai Composite Index rising 1.08% and holding steady above 4200 points, the Shenzhen Component Index rising 2.16%, the ChiNext Index rising 3.5% to a new high in nearly 11 years, and the STAR Market 50 Index rising 4.65% to a new all-time high. The combined turnover of the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges exceeded 3.5 trillion yuan. Sectors such as memory chips, advanced packaging, and CPO performed strongly throughout the day. Over 100 stocks hit their daily limit up, and more than 3100 stocks across the market closed higher.
