Federal Reserve: Powell will serve as interim chairman until Warsh officially takes office.

PANews reported on May 16 that, according to Cailian Press, the Federal Reserve issued a statement on May 15 stating that current Chairman Jerome Powell will temporarily serve as "interim chairman" until Kevin Warsh is officially sworn in as Chairman. Powell's term as chairman expires on Friday. The Fed stated, "This practice is in line with past practice during transitions between chairs."
