Joe Lubin responds to Ethereum Foundation layoffs and restructuring: Not a crisis but strategic streamlining

PANews reported on June 7th that, according to Coindesk, Ethereum co-founder and Consensys executive Joe Lubin recently responded to market controversies surrounding the Ethereum Foundation's budget cuts, staff departures, and organizational restructuring. He stated that these changes are not a crisis, but rather necessary optimizations. Going forward, the foundation will narrow its functions, focusing on maintaining the network's core technology and underlying principles, maintaining absolute neutrality, while ecosystem expansion and institutional partnerships will be handled by other organizations.

He denied that Ethereum was entering a recession, admitting that the current industry capital enthusiasm has been diverted to AI, but Ethereum's expansion layout over the years is ready. New scenarios such as AI intelligent agent on-chain transactions and intelligent agent commerce will become the driving force for the network's next stage of growth, and the distributed ecosystem management model is more in line with the decentralized nature of Ethereum.
