Trump issues urgent statement: Beirut attack should not have happened, all parties should exercise restraint

PANews reported on June 14 that, according to Jinshi News, US President Trump posted on social media that the attack on Beirut this morning should not have happened, especially on this special day when Israel is close to reaching a peace agreement with Iran. Israel has the right to defend itself against threats, but the attack it responded to was very minor and meaningless, with no one injured, maimed, or killed, and therefore should not have disrupted this important process.

We are very close to reaching an agreement that will bring peace to the region, including Lebanon, and all parties should exercise restraint. Israel should no longer attack anywhere in Lebanon, and no other party (including Hezbollah) should attack Israel. This could be the beginning of a long and beautiful peace—let's not mess it up!
