PANews, June 20 – "White-Haired Stock God" Serenity posted on X that three months ago the market was broadly bearish on the storage sector, but since then many storage and related assets have seen significant gains:
Micron Technology: $380 → $1,122 (+195.26%)
SanDisk: $565 → $2,155 (+281.42%)
MSCI: $132 → $219 (+65.91%)
SK Hynix: ₩849K → ₩2.685M (+215.5%)
Samsung Electronics: ₩172K → ₩362K (+110.7%)
Serenity added that if highly extrapolated bullish forecasts such as "Samsung will become the world's most profitable company by 2028" emerge in the market, investors may need to try stepping outside the prevailing narrative framework to make independent judgments — similar to past thematic rotations around "oil, LNG, helium, Iran," etc. A similar logic may now be replaying in the optics/photonics space. Photonics and storage are two core themes and may still be in the "early stages of a super cycle."
