Taiko: Chain state verification mechanism compromised, users advised to immediately withdraw funds from related cross-chain bridges

PANews, June 22 — Taiko posted on X stating that it has confirmed a breach of Taiko’s chain state verification mechanism, and the security assumptions of all cross-chain bridges deployed on Taiko are no longer reliable. Taiko is coordinating with its Security Council and ecosystem partners to contain the situation, suspend affected systems, and take both technical and legal actions. Taiko strongly advises all users to immediately withdraw funds from all cross-chain bridges deployed on Taiko. Taiko urgently requests all centralized exchanges to suspend TAIKO token deposits until official notice is received. The attacker’s address has been disclosed.

Earlier news, the Taiko ERC20 Vault was attacked, resulting in a loss exceeding $1 million.
