AI Agent Infrastructure Sail Research Raises $80 Million

PANews June 25 news, AI infrastructure company Sail Research announced the completion of a seed and Series A round totaling $80 million in funding, with a post-money valuation of $450 million. Investors included Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia, Redpoint Ventures, Theory Ventures and other institutions, as well as angel investors such as Alphabet Chairman John Hennessy. Sail focuses on providing high-throughput, low-cost inference infrastructure for long-duration AI agents and a sandbox environment, Sailboxes, that can run for hours to days, claiming it scored 90.72% accuracy on the BrowseComp-Plus benchmark at up to 10x lower cost. Its API is compatible with OpenAI workflows and supports open-source models like DeepSeek, Gemma, GLM, Kimi, Nemotron. It already serves customers including Parallel Web Systems, Detail.dev, and others.
