PANews reported on February 4th that regarding the transaction loss and packaging delay issues that occurred on the Base network on January 31st, the official statement indicated that due to changes in transaction propagation configuration, the block builder repeatedly fetched transactions, but these transactions could not be executed due to a rapid increase in base fees. The team has mitigated the issue by rolling back the changes and verified that network stability has been restored. Measures are being taken to prevent such issues from recurring and to improve response mechanisms.
These measures include optimizing transaction pipelines, removing unnecessary P2P overhead, and adjusting the mempool queue—a process expected to take approximately one month. Additionally, alerting and change monitoring mechanisms during infrastructure deployment changes are being improved.
