PANews reported on March 13 that according to a survey by Fortune magazine, many members of Trump's cabinet directly or indirectly hold Bitcoin. According to financial disclosure documents, 6 of the 22 cabinet members hold Bitcoin or related investment products. For example, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. holds a Bitcoin account worth $1 million to $5 million; Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth holds Bitcoin worth $15,000 to $50,000; and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent disclosed holdings of Bitcoin-related ETFs worth $250,000 to $500,000.
In addition, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy holds between $250,000 and $500,000 worth of Bitcoin and other crypto investments. Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard also disclosed varying amounts of Bitcoin assets. Some officials said they would divest their assets in accordance with ethical agreements.
