The White House will impose a 39% tariff on Swiss goods and increase Canadian tariffs from 25% to 35%.

According to a PANews report on August 1st, the White House announced that it would impose a 39% tariff on Swiss goods, a 19% tariff on Pakistani goods, a 19% tariff on Malaysian goods, a 20% tariff on Vietnamese goods, a 20% tariff on Bangladesh, and a 15% tariff on Israeli goods. Separately, US President Trump signed an executive order raising tariffs on Canadian goods from 25% to 35%. The higher tariffs will take effect on August 1, 2025 (local time).
