U.S. Senator Dave McCormick Becomes Largest Bitcoin Investor in Congress

PANews reported on April 25 that according to Cryptonews, Dave McCormick, a Republican senator from Pennsylvania and former CEO of Bridgewater Associates, has become the largest Bitcoin investor in Congress. According to financial disclosures, he has invested in the Bitwise Bitcoin spot ETF many times, with a total investment of nearly $250,000. In March of this year alone, he invested $310,000 to $700,000 in the ETF; the holdings disclosed in February reached $450,000, bringing his total investment in the fund to nearly $1 million. It is worth noting that a few days before Trump signed an executive order to explore the "strategic bitcoin reserve", McCormick also purchased $65,000 to $150,000 in Bitwise Bitcoin ETF shares. In addition, other transactions he disclosed included the sale of $1 million to $5 million worth of Goldman Sachs shares.

In addition to McCormick, Montana Senator Steve Daines once held several cryptocurrency ETFs including ProShares, Bitwise, Amplify, and Vaneck, but has now sold all of them. Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene bought iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF shares before Trump announced the "Bitcoin Strategic Reserve" plan. Justin Sun, an advisor to World Liberty Financial under the Trump family, even claimed that he was the largest shareholder of the Valkyrie Fund.
