PANews reported on March 10 that, according to Global Times, Iranian Ambassador to China Fazli held a press conference in Beijing on March 9 to explain Iran's position on the current crisis and the direction of its foreign policy. Ambassador Fazli stated that under the leadership of the new Supreme Leader, Iran advocates following the "three-step" plan proposed by senior Iranian officials in their phone call to promote the easing of the current situation and a political solution. The first step is to end the war and achieve a ceasefire. The war should be stopped first by the instigating party, and it is necessary to take action to force the United States and Israel to immediately cease all military attacks. The second step is to return to the negotiating table, but because we no longer trust the United States, this step is difficult to achieve, almost impossible, unless major world powers and the UN Security Council intervene in the negotiations, play a positive role, provide binding and inviolable guarantees to ensure that no further acts of aggression occur during the dialogue, and establish a lasting and reliable mechanism to maintain the outcome of the negotiations. The third step is that all countries need to unite and cooperate to jointly resist unilateralism and promote the development of multilateralism. "On the basis that the above principles are fully respected and implemented, we are willing to resume relevant dialogues."
