PANews reported on April 14 that, according to Xinhua News Agency, Pakistani sources stated on the 14th that it remains uncertain whether the next round of negotiations between the United States and Iran will still be held in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. Earlier, Reuters, citing four sources, reported that the US and Iranian delegations would return to Islamabad later this week for negotiations. A later update quoted an official from the Iranian embassy in Pakistan as saying that the two delegations could hold negotiations as early as this week or early next week. The report stated that the Iranian delegation had reserved time from April 17th to 19th. Some Pakistani media outlets reported earlier that day that US-Iran negotiations would resume in Islamabad on the 16th.
Pakistani sources: It is still uncertain whether US-Iran negotiations are still taking place in Islamabad.
