PeckShield: Major crypto security incidents in December resulted in approximately $76 million in losses, a 60% decrease from the previous month.

PANews reported on January 1st that PeckShield published an article on its X platform stating that approximately 26 major cryptocurrency attacks occurred in December 2025, resulting in total losses of approximately $76 million, a significant decrease of over 60% compared to the $194.27 million in November. The two most serious incidents this month included: a wallet address 0xcB80...819 suffering a $50 million loss due to address poisoning, and a multi-signature wallet 0xde5f...e965 suffering a $27.3 million loss due to private key leakage; other significant losses included: the babur.sol project ($22 million), TrustWallet ($8.5 million), UnleashProtocol, and flow_blockchain ($3.9 million each).
