PANews reported on January 22 that according to Jinshi, Mark Uyeda, acting chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), established a cryptocurrency task force "committed to developing a comprehensive and clear regulatory framework for cryptocurrency assets." Commissioner Hester Peirce will lead the task force. The focus of the task force will be to help the commission draw clear regulatory boundaries, provide a practical registration path, develop a reasonable disclosure framework, and wisely deploy law enforcement resources. Senior advisors Richard Gabbert and Taylor Asher serve as chief of staff and chief policy advisor to the task force, respectively.
