Russian bill proposes to classify cryptocurrencies as marital property and divide them in divorce

PANews reported on October 21st that Cryptopolitan has submitted a draft law to the Russian parliament that would recognize cryptocurrencies as joint marital property and make them divisible in divorces. The bill's proponents hope to address a growing problem as more Russians invest in cryptocurrencies. The draft law was proposed by Igor Antropenko, a member of the Industry and Trade Committee representing the ruling United Russia party's parliamentary group.
