Kimi, the dark side of the moon, is raising another $1 billion in funding, pushing its valuation to $18 billion.

PANews reported on March 14th that, according to the Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily, Kimi, the Dark Side of the Moon, has seen its latest valuation rise to $18 billion (approximately RMB 124.355 billion), quadrupling in value within three months. Furthermore, a new round of financing of $1 billion (approximately RMB 6.909 billion) is currently underway.

Kimi has completed three rounds of financing in less than three months, setting a record for the most consecutive financings by a large domestic company in recent years, and becoming the fastest unicorn company in China to surpass a valuation of $10 billion. Earlier this month, data released by global payment platform Stripe showed that Kimi's individual subscriber payment orders experienced explosive growth in January and February. January saw an 8280% month-on-month increase in individual user payment orders, followed by a further 123.8% month-on-month increase in February.
