PANews reported on June 6th that, according to Valuethe Markets, Singapore-based cryptocurrency travel platform Travala has released the Travel MCP protocol, allowing AI agents to book and pay for hotel accommodations using USDC on Coinbase's Base network. Travala states that payments are processed through Coinbase's x402 protocol, enabling USDC transactions without gas fees, near-instant settlement, and a transaction cost of approximately 1 cent.
