PANews reported on April 13 that the Iranian Foreign Ministry stated today that the United States' constant changes of demands during negotiations with Iran in Islamabad were the reason for the failure to reach an agreement. The Foreign Ministry said that Iranian Foreign Minister Araqchi stated in a phone call with French Foreign Minister Barro on the evening of April 12 that although Iran had "complete distrust" of the United States, it participated in the negotiations in a responsible and goodwill manner and made progress on several issues. However, due to the excessive demands and constant changes of demands by the United States, an agreement was ultimately not reached.
