Trump says there is no need to extend the ceasefire with Iran.

PANews reported on April 15th, citing CCTV News, that US President Trump said on the 14th that he was not considering extending the ceasefire with Iran because he believed it was unnecessary. In an interview with ABC News that day, Trump said, "I think the next two days are going to be very exciting. I really think so." When asked whether the war with Iran would end with a deal or by "destroying Iran's capabilities," Trump said, "Both are possible, but I think a deal is preferable."

Trump announced a two-week ceasefire between the US and Iran on July 7. Earlier on July 14, in an interview with US media, he said the conflict with Iran was "nearly over" and hinted that the US and Iran might return to the negotiating table in Pakistan in the next two days.
