PANews, June 18 – According to CCTV News, on the 17th local time in the United States, the U.S. and Iran remotely signed a memorandum of understanding. U.S. officials stated that the document was personally signed by Trump and is now in effect. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baghaei said that from the moment the memorandum takes effect – that is, starting now – negotiations on nuclear issues and sanctions will commence within 60 days. Prior to the signing of the agreement, the U.S. and Iran released the official text of the memorandum of understanding reached by both sides. Regarding the widely followed Iranian nuclear issue, the text states that Iran reaffirms it will not acquire or develop nuclear weapons, and both sides agree to conduct on-site dilution of Iran's enriched uranium under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency, among other measures.
