PANews, June 18 – Google Engineering Vice President and co-lead of the Gemini AI model, Noam Shazeer, announced his departure and move to OpenAI. Shazeer posted on X: "I'm excited to announce that I'll be joining OpenAI and look forward to working with the incredible team there. Leaving Google was a tough decision. I'm incredibly proud of everything we built together at Google."
