Trump officially announced that the tariff plan on Mexico and Canada will be implemented as scheduled

PANews reported on February 25 that Cailian Press reported on February 25 that on Monday (24th) local time, US President Trump said that the US plan to impose tariffs on Mexico and Canada will "proceed as scheduled" and the previous one-month "suspension measures" will expire next week.

At a White House press conference that day, when asked whether the deferred tariffs on the two US trading partners would come back into effect soon, Trump said that "the tariffs are proceeding on time and as planned" and that it seemed to be progressing "very fast."

Trump also claimed that the United States is being "taken advantage of" by foreign countries in "almost every way" and is being "treated very badly" by many of its trading partners, not just Canada and Mexico.
